PASMA Towers with Bridges
We are one of the few PASMA centres in the uk
accredited to deliver the PASMA Towers with Bridges course
One Call Training specialise in PASMA Towers with Bridges Courses.
So you need more platform space but you can’t link your towers because as often happens there’s something in the way or you are required to keep a clear route on the ground under the unit. The units you need are towers with a bridge between them. So two or more units joined together at their end or side without the restriction of braces at the bottom as used in linked units
These Bridged units provide a large/long, uninterrupted platform working area while leaving clear space at ground level for access and egress by other trades/pedestrians. We are recently seeing a lot of modular building erectors using these to work on the face of the modulars both in factories and on-site, also they are proving useful for councils where they are spanning several linked houses for maintenance. Historically having to build and rebuild a tower for each yard. With a Bridged tower you can span over conservatories and fences and do several properties with 1 build. They give you a long, open deck area with clear space on the ground and at all times maintaining collective prevention (handrails) without the need to use incorrect and unsafe methods traditionally associated with these kinds of jobs.
PASMA Bridged Towers
Will equip you with the specialist knowledge you need to work safely with Mobile access towers that need a bridge in between to clear hazards at ground level and provide pedestrian access under them. This 1 Day course can be carried out in person at one of our approved PASMA training centres or on any of your sites with one of our PASMA approved and audited instructors. You can then go back to work knowing you can confidently
- Safely assemble, several towers bridged together
- Safely use Bridged towers
- Inspect and Tag Bridged Tower units
- Correctly and accurately identify hazards relating to their use
- Understand legislation, regulations and guidance that are applicable to these specialist units
With a balanced combination of theoretical and practical work, this course builds on your existing tower knowledge by introducing new techniques, such as the use of ballast to additionally stabilise the units if required. You’ll also be introduced to new advanced components, such as Bridge beams, Walk through frames and Knee Braces. Also you’ll learn about the different safe working load capabilities of these types of tower unit.
