This course is designed for any person who is required to work at height and wear safety harness’s or manage those who do. Delegates will learn about the different types of PPE including fixed and adjustable lanyards, connectors and suitable anchor systems. Also included is how to conduct a pre-use check before each use. Because Falls from height are one of the biggest causes of workplace deaths and major injuries, this course includes Safe Working at height as part of the requirement for Harness use. On completion of the course, you and your colleagues will have an understanding of The Working at Height Legislation and will understand how to work safely with different working methods such as; Fall restraint, work positioning and fall arrest.

- Correct selection of fall protection equipment – including common hazards associated with different types of equipment
- Pre-use inspection of PPE
- Correct fitting and adjustment of Harneses
- Suitable Anchor Points and their limitations
- Correct selection and fitting of safety harnesses including practical fitting exercises
- Correct and safe use of Fall Restraint, Fall Arrest and Fall arrest Blocks (inertia reels)
- Correct storage, care and maintenance of PPE
- Rescue Requirements.
