Sometimes using and moving one tower along a building just takes to long. Or you just need more length and flexibility to work across the facade of a building, these linked tower units provide that extra length and time saving you’ve been seeking for.
These Linked units often resemble a traditional scaffold and can sometimes be used in place of one for lighter/short term job requirements. (without the need for weeks of training and years of experience) They are Several towers joined together generally used to span the facade of buildings and we are recently seeing a lot of modular building erectors using these to work on the face of the modulars both in factories and on-site, also for replacing windows, facias, soffits, cleaning guttering and repointing. They give you a long, open deck area and at all times maintaining collective prevention (handrails) without the need to use incorrect and unsafe methods traditionally associated with these kinds of jobs.

Will equip you with the specialist knowledge you need to work safely with Mobile access towers that need to be Linked together. This 1 Day course can be carried out in person at one of our approved PASMA training centres or on any of your sites with one of our PASMA approved and audited instructors. You can then go back to work knowing you can confidently
- Safely assemble, several towers linked together
- Safely use Linked towers
- Inspect and Tag Linked Tower units
- Correctly and accurately identify hazards relating to their use
- Understand legislation, regulations and guidance that are applicable to these specialist units
With a balanced combination of theoretical and practical work, this course builds on your existing tower knowledge by introducing new techniques, such as the use of ballast to additionally stabilise the units if required. You’ll also be introduced to new advanced components, such as Walk through frames and link braces. Also you’ll learn about the different safe working load capabilities of these types of tower unit.
Who Will benefit from the course
This course is suitable for anyone who would like to link several towers together either at home or at work and has already completed Towers for Users, including:
- Those who have never used Linked towers before.
- Those who use them currently but don’t have an official qualification
- Those working towards Access Tower Specialist status
- Those refreshing their qualification or renewing an expired card
- Those wanting to update an existing Towers For Users Qualification.
Your training instructor will give you an electronic or printed copy of the course notes and a PASMA Code of Practice that you can refer back to.
On successfully completing the theory and practical segments of the course, you’ll receive a new PASMA PhotoCard and Certificate that includes this qualification. You’ll see a new category on your card, ‘A7’ which means you’re now trained to build Linked Tower .

- Experience required: Must Hold a current in-date PASMA user or Advanced Card
- PPE: Hard Hat, Hi Vis clothing, Safety footwear, Gloves

- Qualification length: 5 years (can also be used to update existing Towers for Users Qualification)
